1 Introduction <strong>Bria</strong> is a softphone from <strong>CounterPath</strong> that enables you to make VoIP phone calls, to send and receive instant messages, to share presence (availability) in<strong>for</strong>mation, and to exchange files. <strong>Bria</strong> implements SIP-based standards <strong>for</strong> phone calls, IM and and presence, allowing you to work with a multitude of different VoIP servers and service providers. <strong>Bria</strong> also uses XMPP-based standards <strong>for</strong> instant messaging (IM) and presence. Standard Telephone Features The <strong>CounterPath</strong> <strong>Bria</strong> has all standard telephone features, including: • Call display and Message Waiting Indicator (MWI). • Speakerphone and Mute. • Redial, Hold, Do Not Disturb. • Call history – list of received, missed, and dialed calls. • Call <strong>for</strong>ward. • Call transfer. • Call record. • Six-party audio conferencing. • Three-party video conferencing.
