maintenance of the boiler shall be contained in a<br />
manual provided with each boiler unit.<br />
Record of fire tests shall be included in this<br />
manual.<br />
07 – C H I M N E Y S<br />
The contractor shall furnish and install asbestos pipes<br />
chimney with all fittings such as socket and steel clamp,<br />
and shall supply and install the necessary horizontal and<br />
vertical sheet steel metal chimney connected between<br />
boilers and asbestos pipes.<br />
The sheet metal thickness shall not be less than 2 mm, and<br />
provided by suitable sliding doors for inspection and<br />
cleaning.<br />

MECHANICAL WORKS<br />
08 – FEED WATER TANKS<br />
Supply and install galvanized sheet metal tanks of<br />
capacities as indicated on drawings. The tank of boiler<br />
room No.1 [for main building] will be installed on roof of<br />
first floor of the main building, and the tank of boiler<br />
room No.2 [for Annex] will be installed on roof of the<br />
boiler room itself.<br />
The water supply to the tanks will be from the existing<br />
main water tanks installed on roof of the main building,<br />
and through connection to nearby main distribution pipes.<br />
Each tank should be complete with cover, automatic float<br />
valve, 10x10cm hardwood bearers, and all necessary<br />
fittings.<br />
09 – FUEL TANKS<br />
Contractor shall furnish and install fuel tanks for the<br />
boilers.<br />
Fuel tanks should be made of steel sheets 4mm thick with<br />
an overall sizes as indicated on drawings and bill of<br />
quantities, and should be furnished with all fittings and<br />
accessories [inlets, outlets, vents, level indicators,<br />
connections].<br />
All walls of tanks should be properly braced on the<br />
inside.<br />
Two layers of anti corrosion primary coat should be<br />
applied on all external faces.<br />
10 – THERMOSTATIC VALVES<br />
The Contractor shall supply and install at the high point<br />
inlet of each radiator a thermostatic valve “Danfoss”,<br />
angle type of built in sensor as indicated on drawings and<br />
bill of quantities.<br />
It should allow for maximum or minimum setting ranges<br />
(highest and lowest setting point) in addition to facility<br />
of locking the setting range at a fixed setting point.
