3. Assessment <strong>of</strong> weed st<strong>and</strong> (an exercise <strong>for</strong> FFS)
The idea <strong>of</strong> this exercise is to train farmers in methods to assess weed populations in
the field <strong>and</strong> to describe the characteristics <strong>of</strong> the major species found. Such
assessment will also be useful to determine the effectiveness <strong>of</strong> the alternative in weed
control.
