The board assembly shall also take care of the following requirements :
Lamp indication shall be provided to indicate ON/ OFF (By red/green respectively) of switchgear.
Healthy trip supply shall be indicated by clear lamp.
Separate fuses shall be provided for lamps heaters and voltmeters, other instrumentation etc. on
each panel.
Anti-condensation space heaters suitable for each panel if specified. Supply and control
equipment for the above shall be provided by the tenderer.
12. Control Wiring
All control, auxiliary and small wiring shall be carried out with stranded copper conductor PVC
insulated cables. Wiring shall be colour coded and neatly laid out in bunches and firmly fastened to
the steel members of the panel. All potential circuits shall be protected by HRC fuses near the tapoff
points from the main connections. The termination’s shall be crimped with proper sockets. All
the conductors shall be provided with printed PVC ferrules at both ends for easy identification.
Suitable terminal blocks of reputed make shall be provided for terminating the control, auxiliary and
small wiring and are same as described in the section "Medium Voltage Power Control Centres and
Switch board panels" stated elsewhere.
13. Surface treatment
All sheet metal accessories and components of HT switchboard enclosure shall be thoroughly
cleaned, decreased, de-rusted and hot dip phosphatised before a cot of red oxide primer is applied.
The panel shall then be stove enamelled to the required final finish. The interior surfaces of the
panel shall be off-white shade an the exterior shall be of battleship grey on any other approved
shade.

15. Testing
The name plate shall be as per `Equipment Schedule-A'.
The high tension panel shall be tested at factory after assembling of all components. The tests shall
be conducted as BS:116 or ASTA Standards. The original test certificate shall be submitted alongwith
the panel. The following tests shall be conducted.
a) Impulse withstand test
b) One minute power frequency withstand test.
c) Breaking capacity and making capacity for circuit breakers.
d) Insulation resistance test for all auxiliary and secondary wiring.
