Randy passed away this past weekend and I know a lot of
people would like to remember him. On a lighter note we have
a picture of a Lego Model of a Solar Atmospheres 12' car
bottom vacuum furnace. This was built by design engineers
Andrew Nagy and Ben Isaak of Solar. Pretty cool is our feeling.
Going to Indonesia we have these comments about the size of the vacuum
furnace market there. "Some days ago (February 26, 2013) you posted information
about the Indonesian market and in that it was cited that there are 5 known
vacuum furnaces in Indonesia. A few companies were listed -unfortunately, Ipsen
was not part of the list. Based in Malaysia, I am responsible for selling into
Indonesia for Ipsen and I would like to provide some additional information on the
topic. Recently, Ipsen has been very successful selling into Indonesia. This includes
5 vacuum furnaces, of which two (2) are TITANs - one TITAN H2-12 bar and one
TITAN H6-12 bar. We have also sold high pressure quench furnaces manufactured
by Ipsen Europe. The customers are quite diverse including one of the largest
Japanese steel manufacturers, a German medical instrument company and even
the Indonesian Government. Our customers in Indonesia especially value the local,
highly-trained service that Ipsen provides in the region. We have been supporting
this region for almost three years with great success, helping to move our
customers forward. Markk Wong, Sales@Ipsen-sea.com, Ipsen Industrial
Recently it was mentioned on this site that Klein Tools in Skokie, IL would be
auctioning off a surplus 4,000 pound/hour Rogers cast link belt line. While cast link
lines are not in high demand these days the furnace did indeed sell at the auction
to a used equipment dealer. We close off today's news with two pictures of the
newest location for commercial heat treater and vacuum furnace builder Vac Aero.
The company outgrew it's original furnace building location and this is the new plant
in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. As you can see in the picture below the hot zone
business for the company is booming these days. In the one photo the individual on
the right is Darrell Manente a Director of the company. March 19/2013
