Seco Warwick/Vacuum Carburizing Order. "SECO/WARWICK Corp.
Meadville, Pennsylvania - has received an order for a three-chamber CaseMaster
EvolutionR Vacuum Carburizing furnace with washers, tempers and a full data
retrieval system. The contract was signed recently and SECO/WARWICK Corp. will
provide the equipment for a worldwide aerospace manufacturer. SECO/WARWICK
officials said they expect to have the equipment in place by July. The CaseMaster
EvolutionR vacuum T9 furnace is a three-chamber furnace with separate
preheating, heating and oil quenching areas. This furnace design allows for
significant increases in flexibility and productivity. The furnace will provide low
pressure carburizing through the use of FineCarbR technology and low-pressure
carburizing with pre-nitriding with PreNitLPCR technology." March 11/2013
TTI Nitriding Services/Telford, UK. Yesterday we made the rather bold
statement that heat treating in the UK was quite advanced
compared to many areas around the world and while we freely
admit that this is based on rather limited knowledge of the UK
market as proof of this statement we hold up Exhibit “A” TTI
Nitriding Services in Telford. The basic background of the company
is that TTI Group is part of the Materials Technology Division of
Aalberts Industries NV which provides Surface Treatment and Heat
Treating services mainly in Europe. TTI group itself is based in
England and has a total of 7 locations of which Telford is one and
when combined the 7 locations are one of the largest commercial
heat treaters in the UK. For all the details you can visit
http://www.ttigroup.co.uk/telford however let us give you our
impression of this location. What we saw was a building specifically
built for heat treating with allowances made for furnace
infrastructure on a large lot with room for future expansion, a
number of large gas and Plasma Nitriders, several big vacuum
furnaces (including a bottom loader) with quenching capabilities up
to 10 bar and some vacuum brazing capacity. We also saw a
company with a large percentage of aerospace work and ambitious
plans for future growth including more floor space and additional
equipment. A picture is worth a thousand words so the photos below will tell the
story far better than we ever could. The photo of the bottom loading vacuum
furnaces shows from the left Gord Montgomery, Martin Dyson (Works Manager,
