all-rubber as per EN 61316
Uncompromising professional range made from hard
rubber with double tubular frame for the fire brigade,
THW and the disaster relief area. Protection class
IP54 in acc. with EN 60529 for harsh outdoor conditions
and also in adverse weather conditions (IP67
currently in preparation).
The reel unit made from vulcanized hard rubber
ensures that the reel has top performance characteristics,
is absolutely unbreakable, oil and grease
resistant and provides maximum electrical safety.
The extremely sturdy double tube frame, made from
22 mm or 25 mm galvanized steel tube, is simply
indestructible.

Dönges only uses sulphur yellow extremely flexible
special rubber cable compliant with DIN VDE 0282
Protection class IP54 (IP67 is in preparation)
by means of rubber seal ring, which seals the
connecting compartment perfectly. The smaller
reels are securely screwed together with nine
screws (large ones with 12). An IP68 cable
screw fitting at the kink-free cable lead-in in
the drum unit ensures that it is waterproof.
Double strain relief in drum unit.
Easy to carry using ergonomic handles and
perfectly balanced frame. The special design of
the safety carrying handle prevents the reel
from swinging away from the body and also
prevents contact with the body when it is
being carried - i.e. no arm twisting.
The heavier THW reels have a special threehandle
frame, which also allows the reel to be
carried by two people.
Three large crank handles (one with rotating
handle) also protect the receptacles from
damage, even if the reel lands on its "head".
The handles also protect protruding receptacles
from being damaged.
The versions with 5G6 cables have a hinged
crank handle.
The unique cable guide prevents the cable from
fouling when it is being reeled in and out.
The cable can be simply inserted into and
removed from the guide (karabiner hook
system), where it is guided over the entire width
of the reel and prevented from slipping off the
edges.
The special design of the extremely sturdy
frame prevents the cable from slipping behind
the reel. The tubes that lead to the handle are
routed so closely to the reel that the cable
cannot slip behind them and become tangled.
Pressed-in steel tube axle with central brake.
Steel on steel provides extremely smooth
running.
The reel is prevented from uncoiling (i.e.
braked) via a large star grip and the maintenance-free,
internal brake.
