Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services affirms its ‘AAA’
long-term and ‘A-1+’ short-term sovereign credit
ratings for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The government and the employers’ union UEL come
to a bipartite agreement.

EU leaders agree to set up a permanent crisis fund to bail out
any of the 16 member-nations of the euro zone facing sovereign
debt problems. The proposed fund will replace the EFSF.
