Hosting Silent<br />
Auction, “Penny<br />
Raffle” and Food<br />
<strong>The</strong> Presbyterian Church of Easton,<br />
617 North Washington St, is hosting a<br />
“Penny Raffle” and Silent Auction on Friday,<br />
Sept. 20th. Doors will open at 6:30 pm.,<br />
with auction beginning at 7pm. A variety of<br />
refreshments will be available to purchase<br />
including hot dogs, pizza, chips, popcorn,<br />
candy, soda & water.<br />
Proceeds from this event will help fund<br />
our annual budget which includes much<br />
mission work. We have a strong presence in<br />
our community with our food pantry,<br />
Thanksgiving food bags, volunteering at the<br />
Interfaith shelter with food and people, and<br />
an Angel tree at Christmastime. We also<br />
work with Habitat for Humanity, we host the<br />
New Beginnings Food Co-op, and we provide<br />
monetary support to students in<br />
Malawi, Africa. We are currently in preparations<br />
of starting a community vegetable<br />
garden.<br />
<strong>The</strong>re will be goods and services donated<br />
from our Church family and from<br />
local businesses, merchants, and artists. You<br />
don’t want to miss this opportunity to go<br />
home with that special item or service, while<br />
also supporting our mission work.<br />
