Sept. 8: Fair Plays Vintage Base Ball Games.
Talbot hosts the State Championship Tournament.
Our vintage Base Ball team (yes, it was spelled
as two words back then) is going to host the Vintage
State Championship. Believe it or not, there
are five teams in Maryland playing 1864 base ball.
The Fair Plays recently won the Golden Ball Tournament
in New York. Will they take their first state
championship? Or will they once again come in
second? Games start at 12 noon at Mt. Pleasant
Park, 12 Magnolia St., Easton, MD. Enjoy a full
day of old-time base ball as it was played in 1864.
Teams from all over Maryland vie for the title of
State Champion. Free admission. For more information,

Sept. 8: Grandparents' Day Breakfast at the
Cordova Firehall from 7:30am til 11:00am. All you
can eat omelets made to order, scrambled eggs,
bacon, scrapple, creamed chip beef, pancakes
and sweet treats. Adults $8.00, children ages 6 to
12 $5.00, and children ages 5 and under are Free.

Sept. 9: Grocery Bingo is back! Because the
first Monday of Sept. is Labor Day, Grocery Bingo
will take place on September 9th at the Cordova
Firehall. Doors open at 6 pm and games begin at
7pm. Refreshments are available. For more information,

Sept. 9: FREE Concert featuring Genticorum
at the Talbot County Senior Center, Brookletts
Place, Easton, 1-1:45pm. This free concert is
open to the public. The program is funded by a
grant from the Talbot County Arts Council, with
revenues provided by the Maryland State Arts
Council, Talbot County and the Towns of Easton
and Oxford and through the generosity of Carpe
Diem Arts.
Sept. 11: The Activities Singles Klub (ASK) will
meet at Easton Diner on Rt. 50 in Easton, MD at
6pm. (Please park in the rear and enter through
the rear marked door). You may purchase dinner
(placing orders upon arrival). Then participate in a
short business meeting as the evening unfolds.
Adult Singles (Single, Divorced, Separated or
Widowed) are invited to attend. We hope you’ll
come out and meet some new single friends and
learn about the many activities offered through the
Klub. Current newsletter and activities calendar

and Used Book Sale from 10am to 2pm, rain or

gently used books at very affordable prices, as
well as lovely items created by local craftspeople.
