Sept. 8: Fair Plays Vintage Base Ball Games.<br />
<strong>Talbot</strong> hosts the State Championship Tournament.<br />
Our vintage Base Ball team (yes, it was spelled<br />
as two words back then) is going to host the Vintage<br />
State Championship. Believe it or not, there<br />
are five teams in Maryland playing 1864 base ball.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Fair Plays recently won the Golden Ball Tournament<br />
in New York. Will they take their first state<br />
championship? Or will they once again come in<br />
second? Games start at 12 noon at Mt. Pleasant<br />
Park, 12 Magnolia St., Easton, MD. Enjoy a full<br />
day of old-time base ball as it was played in 1864.<br />
Teams from all over Maryland vie for the title of<br />
State Champion. Free admission. For more information,<br />

Sept. 8: Grandparents' Day Breakfast at the<br />
Cordova Firehall from 7:30am til 11:00am. All you<br />
can eat omelets made to order, scrambled eggs,<br />
bacon, scrapple, creamed chip beef, pancakes<br />
and sweet treats. Adults $8.00, children ages 6 to<br />
12 $5.00, and children ages 5 and under are Free.<br />

Sept. 9: Grocery Bingo is back! Because the<br />
first Monday of Sept. is Labor Day, Grocery Bingo<br />
will take place on September 9th at the Cordova<br />
Firehall. Doors open at 6 pm and games begin at<br />

Sept. 9: FREE Concert featuring Genticorum<br />
at the <strong>Talbot</strong> County Senior Center, Brookletts<br />
Place, Easton, 1-1:45pm. This free concert is<br />
open to the public. <strong>The</strong> program is funded by a<br />
grant from the <strong>Talbot</strong> County Arts Council, with<br />
revenues provided by the Maryland State Arts<br />
Council, <strong>Talbot</strong> County and the Towns of Easton<br />
and Oxford and through the generosity of Carpe<br />
Diem Arts.<br />
Sept. 11: <strong>The</strong> Activities Singles Klub (ASK) will<br />
meet at Easton Diner on Rt. 50 in Easton, MD at<br />
6pm. (Please park in the rear and enter through<br />
the rear marked door). You may purchase dinner<br />
(placing orders upon arrival). <strong>The</strong>n participate in a<br />
short business meeting as the evening unfolds.<br />
Adult Singles (Single, Divorced, Separated or<br />
Widowed) are invited to attend. We hope you’ll<br />
come out and meet some new single friends and<br />
learn about the many activities offered through the<br />
