and Hopewell people, the early cultures <strong>of</strong> Florida, later Mississippian and<br />

Caddoan people. Includes fiber arts, pottery, painting, sculpture and<br />

architecture, as well as a non-Western philosophical view <strong>of</strong> iconography<br />

and underlying meanings. No student may earn credit for both 4833 and<br />

G5843 20th Century Hispanic and Latin American Art History<br />

(Slashlisted with 4843). Prerequisite: graduate standing. Visual arts <strong>of</strong><br />

Mexico, Central and South America. Interdisciplinary methodology<br />

includes painting, sculpture, photography, video, installations, pottery, and<br />

and individual presentations concerning the non-western aesthetics and<br />
