Contact the parish office during the 5th month of pregnancy to
make arrangements and register with the Elizabeth Ministry.
Baptism is celebrated at a 1:30 ceremony on June 2; 12:30
(summer schedule) on July 7, August 4 and during Sunday Mass on
June 15, 5:30, July 21, 9:00 and August 18, 11:00 (summer
schedule). For the complete 2013 schedule please call the parish
office.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults—RCIA
A process for non-Catholics who wish to experience parish
community and join the Catholic Church. Also for Catholics who
wish to return to the Church or have not celebrated Confirmation
or Eucharist.
Marriage
Arrangements must be made at the parish office ONE YEAR
prior to date of marriage.
Anointing of the Sick
Communal celebration as scheduled or individual Anointing
at home by appointment.
Visitation to Homebound
Contact the parish office to arrange for a visit to home,
hospital or nursing home.

Time, Talent, Treasure.
Putting God First?
“...go and do likewise.” (Luke 10:37) This was Jesus’ simple
command to all of us at the end of the Good Samaritan story.
How do we do “likewise?” By sharing our skills. By reaching
into our pockets when financial help is needed. By taking the
time to help when we are needed, not when it’s convenient for
us.

CATHOLIC FAITH FORMATION
REGISTRATION NEWS—YOU’RE LATE!!
If you wish your child to continue in the Catholic Faith
Formation Program (CFF), please return the reregistration
form that was mailed to you in March.
Classes are reaching capacity! The number of classes,
teachers, books and class lists, all need to be in place by
August. Our policy is: All children must be registered
and in our system before classes begin. Your
child will not be permitted to attend the first day of class
if not pre-registered. We ask your cooperation in this
matter. New student registration takes place in the
CFF Office located in the school Monday through
Thursday from 9 to 4 p.m.

ATTENTION ALL WOMEN
The Saint Agnes Rosary Society will be sponsoring a
Women’s Retreat Day on Monday, September 9, 2013
at the San Alfonso Retreat House in Long Branch, NJ.
The Retreat House is situated on eight beautiful acres
and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. The cost of the retreat
is $50 all inclusive. We will leave Saint Agnes at
8:00 a.m. and return by 4:00 p.m. Space is limited. The
retreat was such a success last September, and we urge
you to please register early—deadline is July 31, 2013.

Congratulations, Father Nuno
Archbishop Myers has appointed Father Nuno Rocha
a pastor. Father Nuno was ordained in 2006 and was
assigned parochial vicar here at St. Agnes. In 2009
he was transferred to Our Lady of Fatima in Newark
and on July 1st he became the pastor of Our Lady of
Fatima Church in Elizabeth. We wish him God’s
blessings as he assumes the responsibilities of his
new ministry.
SEND A CITY CHILD TO CAMP
The Eddie Gray Camp Fund is seeking funds to send innercity
children to summer camp. This year our cost per child
will be $250 for one week. However, we will be grateful
for donations of any amount. Every donation helps and is

Sandwich Making Ministry
Shopper for Sandwich Team Needed
Volunteers meet monthly to make sandwiches that are
delivered the following day to St. Joseph’s Soup Kitchen
in Elizabeth. We are in need of a volunteer to shop for
the items needed to make the sandwiches. If interested,
please call the parish office at 732-388-7852, option 2.
