CROC DOCK BIBLE CAMP
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS!
It was another successful year at St. Agnes Bible Camp. We hope that all of our young
tourists enjoyed their time at Croc Dock. We would like to give a big FEAR NOT Thank you to
all our volunteers.
We would also like to express our gratitude to Joseph Brady of Promotrim International and
Special Tee Designs of Haledon, Mijos Pizzeria of Colonia, and Clark Shoprite for their
donations to our program.
The St. Agnes Staff was great helping us organize and get through the daily camp routines. A
special thank you to Janine Matthews and Joanne Cancro in the rectory, Arles Sierra in
maintenance, Mary Ellen Theel and Phyllis Cunningham for singing their hearts out with the
children everyday, and Father Denis and Father Alphonse for visiting the children each
morning at Dock Swamp.
We hope to see everyone again next summer at High Seas Expedition Bible

Time, Talent, Treasure.
Putting God First
The crowd in today’s Gospel demanded a sign of Jesus
and wanted to know what “work” He did to inspire their
faith. May our faithful stewardship be a sign to others
that we, like the Ephesians in the second reading, have
laid aside our former way of life and acquired a “fresh,
spiritual way of thinking” in Christ.

GOD’S WORK
We are so busy! Most of us have more than one
job to do, and we never seem to have enough time. We
are workers, volunteers, parents, friends, and most of us
are more than one thing at a time. But which of these is
the work of God
We seldom view our ordinary work as being the
work of God. We may think that we have to be ministers
or priests, missionaries or charity workers, engaged fulltime
in works formally identified as being “God’s
work.” But everything we do with a faithful heart and
with love for others is God’s work. We each have our
own role to fill in the world, and many gifts are
necessary. We cannot always see the direct connection
of our daily work to the plan of God. But we trust and
we believe that God leads us to do what is needed, where
it is needed. What is “God’s work” “This is the work of
God, that you believe in the one he sent” (John 6:29).

Elijah Cup Program

Christian Foundations for Ministry Program
an adult formation and education program
of the Archdiocese of Newark that strives
to promote the call of all the baptized to
participate in the mission and ministry of Jesus
Saint Agnes Parish is one of the designated sites for the
CFM Archdiocesan three-year program. Courses in Old
and New Testament, Sacraments, Morality and Liturgy
will prepare individuals for ministry in the parish and
diocese. Classes will be held on Thursday evenings
from 7 to 9 p.m., September through May in the St.
Lucy Filippini Room located on the lower level of the

Welcome Father Porter
We are happy to welcome to our parish
community Rev. Lawrence B. Porter, who
will serve as our weekend assistant. Father
Porter is a professor at Immaculate
Conception Seminary, located at Seton Hall
University in South Orange. He is also an
opera buff and a renowned author. Welcome,
Father Porter.
REGISTRATION NEWS
YOU’RE LATE!!
If you wish your child to continue in the Catholic Faith
Formation Program (CFF), please return the reregistration
form that was mailed to you in March.
Classes are reaching capacity!! The number of classes,
teachers, books and class lists, all need to be in place by
August. Our policy is: All children must be
registered and in our system before classes begin.
Your child will not be permitted to attend the first day
of class if not pre-registered. He/she will have to wait
until the secretary puts them in the system. We ask your
cooperation in this matter.
New student registration takes place Monday thru
Thursday in the CFF Office located in the school.
