GREETINGS FROM THE MAYOR
This brochure provides an overview of Fall and
Winter programs and services for your consideration,
in keeping with our mission statement to deliver
services to all citizens, enhancing the quality of life
for all who live and work within this City.
The Parks and Recreation Department provides a
variety of programs and events to present you with choice for your
leisure time and it is our hope that all our citizens will participate in
these activities.
As you may know, the City of Charlottetown adopted an Integrated
Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP). The ICSP provides the City with
a long term, forward thinking strategic plan. This plan was developed
in consultation with the community to support the realization of our
community’s sustainability objectives for its environmental, economic,
social and cultural dimensions. Many of the activities within this
Parks & Recreation Brochure contribute to creating a more healthy,
vibrant and sustainable city for future generations and compliment the
values and quality of life that we all cherish here in the Capital City.
The Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to serving our
citizens with programs that contribute greatly to the well being
of individuals and families by offering activities which promote
health, teach new skills and at the same time provide enjoyment and
entertainment. My heartfelt appreciation to all volunteers who assist
in the delivery of all activities and events hosted in this great City.
You are the backbone of many of our community services and on
