READING PROGRAMS<br />

CONFEDERATION CENTRE PUBLIC LIBRARY CHILDREN’S LIBRARY<br />

Programs <strong>of</strong>fered in the Confederation Centre Public Library, Children’s Library require<br />

registration. Since the Children’s Library <strong>of</strong>fers on-going programs, groups are advised<br />

to call ahead when planning a visit. Regular reading times can be arranged for groups.<br />

After school groups are encouraged and welcome.<br />

Hackmatack Children’s Choice Book Award<br />

This is a book club for children in grades 4 to 6. Join the group and choose the winning<br />

authors for the annual Hackmatack Children’s Choice Book Award. Read at least 5 <strong>of</strong> the<br />

<strong>of</strong>ficial selections from either the fiction or non-fiction lists. Interested children should<br />

call the Children’s Library at the Confederation Centre Public Library for details.<br />

Origami Club<br />

Learn basic paper folding skills to construct models like dogs, cats and jumping frogs.<br />

Materials will be provided. For ages 6 and up, please register.<br />

RINGETTE<br />

CHARLOTTETOWN RINGETTE<br />

Ringette is a fast-paced ice-skating sport enjoyed by over 25,000 Canadian girls and<br />

women <strong>of</strong> all ages. Besides Canada, ringette is played on an organized basis in the<br />

United States, Finland, Sweden, France and Russia.<br />
