on Russian gas raise questions about Ankara’s own energy future and viability as a critical crossroads for
fuel, experts say.
Energy trade will expand rapidly, in particular the major oil and gas consuming regions will see their
geographical location whereby three fourths of the proven oil and gas reserves of the world are located
is within its neighboring regions, it should come as no surprise to see Turkey emerging as a major player
in energy diplomacy.
Much of Europe may be moving towards cleaner power but in Turkey it is a different story. For
Iran and to boost its – hitherto insufficient – domestic energy production. About three quarters of the
country’s energy comes from abroad.
