General concrete construction including materials,
proportioning, mixing, placement, sampling, curing, finish
requirements, and inspection of concrete. Concrete construction
of curb & gutter, streets, bridges, retaining walls and structures.

Testing of concrete are covered: sampling, slump tests and air
tests.

Asphalt types, materials, batching methods, equipment, sampling,
and paving inspection. Training and use of grade-lining to check

General Services Laboratory. Training in batch plant record
keeping and mix design verification and review of sampling test
results for acceptance or rejection.
Determining quantities for payment of acceptably completed
work.

Inspection of new installation or modification of existing street
lighting in the public right-of-way.
Course covers material specifications, City approved luminaire
equipment, installation, inspection, and testing. Determining
