This course builds on the general information presented in<br />

Concrete Const I and gives the inspector training in inspection <strong>of</strong><br />

placed concrete for curb & gutter, catch basins, sidewalks,<br />

driveways, access ramps, etc. The inspector learns to check<br />

grade, forms, rebar spacing and sizing, and concrete quality<br />

control. Review <strong>of</strong> Greenbook specifications on materials,<br />

reinforcement, placement <strong>of</strong> reinforcement, concrete mixing,<br />

transportation, placement, sampling, vibration, finish<br />

requirements, curing, and inspection techniques. Determining<br />

payment for acceptably completed work.<br />

Sewer Const II<br />

Continuation <strong>of</strong> Sewer Construction I. This class deals with<br />

construction methods, installation, payments, types <strong>of</strong> bedding,<br />

joints, man-entry inspection methods and MH inspection. This<br />

class has an in-depth study <strong>of</strong> pertinent Greenbook sections and<br />

standard plans that deal with sewer construction.<br />

Reading, understanding, and interpretation <strong>of</strong> plans,<br />

specifications, contractor submittals, and other contract<br />

Covers all aspects <strong>of</strong> site development from demolition and site<br />

preparation, through landscaping, testing, and final inspection.<br />

Special emphasis is on details, architectural, structural and<br />

building systems.<br />

Review course on Automated Traffic Survelliance and Control<br />

(ATSAC). Overview <strong>of</strong> materials, equipment, regulations,<br />

inspection <strong>of</strong> ATSAC systems. Fiber optics, trenching (rockwheeling)<br />

and traffic requirements are covered.<br />

This course is designed to prepare students for the Special<br />

Inspection examination <strong>of</strong>fered by the International Code<br />

Council (ICC).<br />
