Have You Had Your Teeth Checked Lately?
It’s that time
of the year again
when we reflect
on what we could
do differently as
one year draws to
an end and a New
year is about to
begin.
We want the coming year to be better
than the last so for some of us making a
mental check list of what worked and what
didn’t is common.
If you have ever had a toothache you
know like car problems it can completely
change your plans for the day. This could
result to anywhere from loss of wages to
missed school for the kids.
Like your car, you may have gotten
some warning signs or your caution light
comes on. In the dental world it could be a
slight ache or discomfort when you bite on
something or your gums start bleeding.
From experience, we know that waiting
it out could cause it to get worse resulting
to eventual swelling or pain. Sometimes
the pain may seem to have gone away (if
left unchecked), only to rear its ugly head
either in a catastrophic breakage or fracture
of the tooth or a massive infection accompanied
with excruciating pain like no other.
Like a car, what could originally have
cost a minimal amount of money to fix may
need a whole new engine and at the end of
the day it all boils down to maintenance.

patients on how to maintain good oral
hygiene.
