Step 1 — Apply<br />

1. Students who have never taken a <strong>San</strong> <strong>Juan</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />

credit class must apply for admission. To apply online<br />

go to sanjuancollege.edu/apply.<br />

2. Take the Accuplacer placement test in the Advising and<br />

Counseling Center. Testing occurs Monday,<br />

Wednesday and Friday 8 a.m. -3 p.m., Tuesdays 8 a.m.<br />

- 5 p.m., and Thursdays 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. No<br />

appointment is necessary. Transfer students should<br />

bring a copy of their college transcripts to their<br />

advising appointment to determine if the Accuplacer is<br />

necessary.<br />

3. Meet with an academic advisor in the Advising &<br />

Counseling Center to plan your classes and prepare<br />

for New Student Orientation (see page 6).<br />

4. Register for New Student Orientation. For more<br />

information call (505) 566-3404.<br />

• Continuing degree-seeking students:<br />

Register November 12, 2012 - January 8, <strong>2013</strong><br />

Continuing degree-seeking students are those who have<br />

attended SJC for credit classes previously. If the student<br />

is degree-seeking and has completed less than 25 credits,<br />

the student must meet with his or her advisor to obtain<br />

registration authorization.<br />

• All continuing students:<br />

Register November 19, 2012 - January 8, <strong>2013</strong><br />

All continuing students are those who have attended<br />

SJC for credit classes previously but have not declared<br />

a degree.<br />

• New students and new transfer students:<br />

Register November 26, 2012 - January 8, <strong>2013</strong><br />

New students are students who have submitted a completed<br />

admission application and all required documents to the<br />

Enrollment Services (formerly Admissions and Records office), has<br />

taken the Accuplacer Assessment (if required), and<br />

has registered for and attended New Student Orientation.<br />

available continuously, seven days a week during the<br />

registration period.<br />
