5. PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLAN
5.1.1 Meetings
The PMT includes representatives from the UTDM, KZN DAEA and Nemai Consulting. The PMT
will serve as a platform to discuss project progress and operational type matters.
The PSC members, who include the respective government role-players and decision makers
who are directly affected by the implementation of the EMF, include suitable representatives from
the following parties:
UDM;
Emnambithi LM;
Okhahlamba LM;
Imbabazane LM;
Indaka LM;
Umtshezi LM.
National Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA);
KZN DAEA;
Department of Water Affairs (DWA);
Department of Mineral Resources (DMR);
Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife;
KZN Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA);
KZN Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF);
Amafa / Heritage KZN; and
KwaZulu-Natal Tourism Authority.
The purpose of the PSC will include:
Assist in establishing the EMF’s objectives;
Provide high-level guidance to steer EMF towards achieving objectives;
Review and advise on process and products;
Raise awareness;
Assist with acquiring information; and
Attend meetings, as scheduled according to EMF milestones.
Nemai Consulting will attend the following project-related meetings:
PMT meetings, which will be held at the UTDM offices in Ladysmith;
