What to do if you are being bullied
The School is a community which can only work successfully if all its
members treat each other with respect and consideration. Everyone
has the right to attend school without being bullied or being victims
of verbal or physical abuse. Verbal comments of a racist, homophobic
or sexist nature are a particular cause for concern. If you have a problem
of this sort then follow the procedures below:
(a)
(b)
(c)
If you have a problem while coming to school or going home, then report the
incident to your Form Tutor.
If you have a problem in a lesson, then report your concern to the subject
teacher who will deal with the situation or refer it to the appropriate member
of staff.
If you have a problem at break or lunchtime, then report to the nearest duty
member of staff.
Always keep your parents informed of any problems you are experiencing at school.
Remember to keep on telling your subject teacher, form tutor, Director of Studies or
Senior Management until the problem is sorted out.
Remember any problem that affects your
ability to learn concerns the school.
