4. Enforcement - The rules <strong>and</strong> regulations governing the storage <strong>of</strong><br />
junked or inoperable motor vehicles <strong>and</strong> trailers or parts thereto shall be<br />
enforced by the Building Inspector.<br />
5. Defined - "motor vehicle" <strong>and</strong> "trailer" as used herein shall mean any<br />
automobile, truck trailer, semi-trailer, tractor, motor bus or any selfpropelled<br />
or motor driven vehicle.<br />
6. Authority to retain - Any business engaged in automotive sales or repair<br />
may retain disassembled, inoperable, junked or wrecked motor vehicles,<br />
truck bodies, tractors or trailers in the open, on private property, for a<br />
period not to exceed 30 days, after which such vehicles must be<br />
removed.<br />
7. No semi-trailer or van box may be used for storage within the <strong>Village</strong><br />
without first securing a permit from the Building Inspector. The Building<br />
Inspector may issue a permit not to exceed 6 months for temporary use for<br />
a semi-trailer as storage if he feels it would not be unsightly nor diminish<br />
the quality <strong>of</strong> the neighborhood. In the event that the storage is on a<br />
construction site, the Building Inspector may grant an extension if he<br />
thinks it is warranted.<br />
3.810 LITTERING PROHIBITED<br />
A. No person shall throw, deposit, place or dump any glass, refuse, waste, filth,<br />
tires, wood waste, grass clippings, weeds, shingles, waste from cement trucks or<br />
any other litter upon the streets, alleys, highways, public parks or other property<br />
<strong>of</strong> the <strong>Village</strong> or upon any private property or upon the surface <strong>of</strong> any body <strong>of</strong><br />
water within the <strong>Village</strong>.<br />
B. No person shall place anything in a privately owned dumpster not owned by<br />
them. No person shall place non-recyclables at a recycling center.<br />
3.811 OBEDIENCE TO OFFICERS - No person shall resist or interfere with any <strong>of</strong>ficer <strong>of</strong><br />
the <strong>Village</strong> while such <strong>of</strong>ficer is doing any act in his <strong>of</strong>ficial capacity <strong>and</strong> with lawful<br />
authority; nor shall any person refuse to assist an <strong>of</strong>ficer in carrying out his duties when<br />
so requested by the <strong>of</strong>ficer.<br />
3.812 OPEN CISTERNS, WELLS, BASEMENTS OR OTHER DANGEROUS<br />
EXCAVATIONS PROHIBITED - No person shall have or permit on any premises<br />
owned or occupied by him any open cisterns, cesspools, wells, unused basements,<br />
excavations or other dangerous openings. All such places shall be filled, securely covered<br />
or fastened in such manner as to prevent injury to any person <strong>and</strong> any cover shall be <strong>of</strong><br />
such design, size <strong>and</strong> weight that the same cannot be removed by small children.<br />
3.813 ABANDONED OR UNATTENDED REFRIGERATORS, ETC., PROHIBITED -<br />
No person shall leave or permit to remain outside any dwelling, building or other<br />
structure or within any unoccupied or ab<strong>and</strong>oned building, dwelling or other structure<br />
