Rachel Miller graduated in 2011<br />

with a Psy.D. in clinical psychology<br />

from La Salle University. She is<br />

completing her postdoctoral fellowship<br />

specializing in treating child abuse<br />

and maltreatment at CARES Institute<br />

at University of Medicine and<br />

Dentistry of New Jersey–School<br />

of Osteopathic Medicine.<br />

Megan Lavery, who also earned<br />

her Psy.D. in clinical psychology<br />

from La Salle University, is completing<br />

her second year of postdoctoral<br />

fellowship at Cleveland Clinic’s<br />

Bariatric and Metabolic Institute.<br />

Sara, Rachel, and Megan try to<br />

get together each year for the<br />

<strong>Lafayette</strong>–Lehigh football game.<br />

After earning her master’s in sport<br />

management and interning as an<br />

academic advisor for student athletes at<br />

University of Memphis, Sam Ziegler<br />

accepted a position as a physical<br />

education teacher and head lacrosse<br />

coach at Hutchison School in<br />

Memphis, Tenn. She coached her team<br />

to two state championship wins. The<br />

team—which achieved a record of<br />

38–1 over two seasons (with the only<br />

loss coming to the No. 2 team in the<br />

nation)—is currently ranked first in<br />

the state. Sam was named 2012 Best of<br />

the Preps Lacrosse Coach of the Year.<br />

Melissa Boskey planned to begin<br />

a master’s in occupational therapy<br />

at Columbia University in NYC<br />

this fall.<br />

Daria Szkwarko graduated in<br />

May from University of Medicine<br />

and Dentistry of New Jersey–School<br />

of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a<br />

family medicine resident at Brown<br />

University in Providence, R.I.<br />

Harriss Poetry Prize, Katherine<br />

Bogden’s first collection of poetry,<br />

Every Bit of It, was published by<br />

CityLit Press in August.<br />

Tiffany Dyer spent five years in<br />

Japan as an English teacher and<br />

administrator for Japan Exchange<br />

and Teaching Program. After<br />

returning to the States, she was hired<br />

in May as a program coordinator for<br />

Information and Culture Center of<br />

the Consulate General of Japan in<br />

Los Angeles.<br />

Brian Witkowski of<br />

Durham, Conn., son of<br />

Dr. Allan and Margaret Witkowski,<br />

died in his sleep July 30. An avid<br />

sports fan, Brian enjoyed golfing<br />

and skiing. Recently diagnosed with<br />

epilepsy, Brian lived his life enthusiastically<br />

but with a gentle, easy-going<br />

manner. The funeral was held<br />

Janelle Thompson of Philadelphia<br />

was awarded a master’s in clinical<br />

psychology from La Salle University in<br />

August. She published her first journal<br />

article thanks to the mentoring of<br />

Susan Basow, Dana Professor of<br />

Psychology. Janelle attended Chris<br />

Shumeyko’s homecoming tailgate<br />

in 2011 (see photo online).<br />

Leslie Raucher earned her<br />

master’s in sustainability studies<br />

from Ramapo <strong>College</strong> in May.<br />

Maggie Schaffer is appearing<br />

in Gallery Girls, a Bravo Network<br />

series that debuted Aug. 13. The<br />

show follows the lives of seven<br />

young women in NYC “who tackle<br />

the cutthroat environment of the<br />

art world while vying for their dream<br />

jobs.” Maggie previously interned<br />

for Eli Klein Fine Art, Cottelston<br />

Advisors, and Christie’s. For more,<br />

Jeffrey Zimmer graduated from<br />

American University with a master’s in<br />

international affairs–Middle East<br />

studies. Attending his graduation was<br />

coworker Nalishha Mehta ’98 (see<br />

photo online). Jeffrey accepted a new<br />

position as program officer for the Gulf<br />

States with the American Center for<br />

International Labor Solidarity.<br />
