In line with the Government’s sustainability
agenda the Commission, along with the
Building Commission, will relocate to the
1880s Goods Shed North in the Docklands
in late 2009. This will provide a flexible
workplace with a 5 Star Green Star rating
being targeted. It will be the first of its kind
for a heritage building in Victoria.
Outlook for 2008–09
Plumbing practitioners need to consider the
important role they can play in educating
the community about the cost and
environmental benefits of green plumbing
practices. If the whole industry does
this, we can make a big difference to the
amount of water and energy used.
I’d like to congratulate the Commission
staff, who have continued to absorb many
improvements to the business as part of its
alignment with the Building Commission.
We look forward to improving efficiencies
in the joint move to the Goods Shed North
in late 2009.
