Krist<strong>in</strong>a Niesi<br />
Krist<strong>in</strong>a Niesi, <strong>the</strong> daughter of Ellen Hoydal of Annadale, graduated from <strong>the</strong> College of Staten Island with a<br />
bachelor's degree <strong>in</strong> English, concentrat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> l<strong>in</strong>guistics, with a m<strong>in</strong>or <strong>in</strong> psychology.<br />
She plans to attend graduate school for education and to jo<strong>in</strong> Teachers Educat<strong>in</strong>g Students of O<strong>the</strong>r<br />
Languages (TESOL) <strong>in</strong> order to pursue a career as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher.<br />
Emily Quadr<strong>in</strong>o<br />
Emily Quadr<strong>in</strong>o, daughter of Sue and Emil Quadr<strong>in</strong>o of Arden Heights, graduated from Villanova University<br />
with a bachelor of science degree <strong>in</strong> market<strong>in</strong>g and a bachelor of arts degree <strong>in</strong> Italian.<br />
Ms. Quadr<strong>in</strong>o was on <strong>the</strong> dean's list and was an active member of Delta Gamma sorority, was vice president<br />
of <strong>the</strong> market<strong>in</strong>g society, assistant to <strong>the</strong> chairman of <strong>the</strong> Special Olympics Pennsylvania Committee and<br />
orientation counselor to <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>com<strong>in</strong>g members of <strong>the</strong> Class of 2013.<br />
These roles earned her a student leadership award.<br />
While attend<strong>in</strong>g Villanova, Ms. Quadr<strong>in</strong>o volunteered <strong>in</strong> orphanages <strong>in</strong> Honduras dur<strong>in</strong>g her sophomore year<br />
and studied abroad <strong>in</strong> London <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> fall of her senior year.<br />
Ms. Quadr<strong>in</strong>o has accepted a position as an <strong>in</strong>tern for a prestigious program with Estee Lauder's global<br />
market<strong>in</strong>g division <strong>in</strong> Manhattan.<br />
Michael Bivona<br />
Michael Bivona, <strong>the</strong> son of Anne Marie and Michael Bivona of Annadale, graduated from Qu<strong>in</strong>nipiac University<br />
with a bachelor of arts degree <strong>in</strong> psychology and a m<strong>in</strong>or <strong>in</strong> law studies.<br />
While attend<strong>in</strong>g Qu<strong>in</strong>nipiac, Bivona was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and on <strong>the</strong> dean's list.<br />
In <strong>the</strong> fall, Bivona will attend Qu<strong>in</strong>nipiac Law School.<br />
Allison Duffy<br />
Allison Duffy of Westerleigh graduated summa cum laude from Marist College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., with a<br />
bachelor's degree <strong>in</strong> communications, a dual concentration <strong>in</strong> journalism and sports communication, and a<br />
m<strong>in</strong>or <strong>in</strong> political science.<br />
Ms. Duffy, daughter of Irene and Dennis Duffy, was an <strong>in</strong>tern at <strong>the</strong> Staten Island Advance <strong>in</strong> 2008. She was<br />
a member of <strong>the</strong> Dean's Circle, dean's list, and honors program for four years.<br />
She was a member of Alpha Chi, a national college honors society, and Lambda Pi Eta, a communications<br />
honors society.<br />
Ms. Duffy was awarded <strong>the</strong> 2010 School of Communication and <strong>the</strong> Arts Intern of <strong>the</strong> Year Award, and <strong>the</strong><br />
2010 Baccalaureate Award for Excellence <strong>in</strong> Communication.<br />
She accepted a position with Major League Baseball's Properties Office of <strong>the</strong> Commissioner <strong>in</strong> photos and<br />
<strong>the</strong> publish<strong>in</strong>g department as <strong>the</strong> project assistant editor.<br />
Just<strong>in</strong> R. Grant<br />
Just<strong>in</strong> R. Grant of West Brighton graduated summa cum laude from SUNY-Purchase with a bachelor's degree<br />
<strong>in</strong> literature. He completed his undergraduate education <strong>in</strong> three years.<br />
His research <strong>in</strong>terests <strong>in</strong>clude 18th century American literature, critical pedagogy and <strong>the</strong>ory. Grant, <strong>the</strong> son<br />
of Roger and Claudia Grant, will be pursu<strong>in</strong>g his master's degree <strong>in</strong> English at <strong>the</strong> University of Florida,<br />
Ga<strong>in</strong>esville, Fla., on a full tuition scholarship and a teach<strong>in</strong>g assistantship. He has been given <strong>the</strong> option to<br />
cont<strong>in</strong>ue his education to pursue his doctorate.<br />
