These special outdoor products are named for customer
service manager Carol Rose Burtz, who has been with
Empire for more than 50 years. As the first time we have
named a product for an employee, this represents an
appropriate honor recognizing Carol’s exceptional history
with the company.

A fireplace extends the season for the outdoor living space you worked
so hard to create. Our Carol Rose Coastal Collection includes complete
outdoor fireplace systems, contemporary burners, and traditional log
sets and burners – so you are sure to find a warm addition to suit your
outdoor décor.
Our Green Earth Preferred intermittent pilot (IP) system fits your ecofriendly
lifestyle by eliminating the standing pilot light for even greater
energy savings and reduced emissions. IP systems include an on/off,
high/low remote control.
Our Millivolt systems (available on traditional fireplaces) include a
standing pilot – to light easily and operate without electric power – ideal
for outdoor installations where power is not readily available. Millivolt
systems will operate with an optional remote or wall switch.
All of our outdoor burners and fireplaces are available in LP and Natural
Gas models
These products are designed for outdoor installation only. For
installation on a covered deck or porch, at least two sides of the
enclosure must remain open at all times.
All our outdoor hearth products feature stainless steel for all exterior
surfaces to provide lasting beauty. Stainless cleaner, available from
your fireplace dealer, will help keep your fireplace or burner looking
new for years.

Fireplaces

Choose a traditional fireplace and a refractory log set or a contemporary fireplace
with its elegant linear burner. Both fireplaces are available in 36-inch and 42-inch –
perfectly sized for your outdoor living space.
With its concealed controls, your
outdoor fireplace will present a clean,
sleek look. The optional folding glass
doors help keep out leaves and debris,
but open quickly when you are ready
to light a fire. Or use the optional
stainless steel cover to completely
enclose your fireplace when not in use.
Read the owner’s manual before
installation, as some construction
materials – such as concrete and
grout – will etch or scratch the
stainless steel. All external stainless
steel surfaces are covered with a
film to protect the fireplace during
installation. The film must be removed
before using the fireplace.

An optional stainless steel drain pan is available to help control and re-direct any
moisture that collects beneath the fireplace.
Remote controls offered for use with outdoor systems are not weatherproof and
must be protected from sun and moisture.

Rated at 36,000 Btu for the 36-inch fireplace and 40,000 Btu for the
42-inch, the elegant linear burner within the fireplace generates both
light and warmth to captivate your guests. The valve and controls are
completely concealed beneath the burner top.
Traditional
This traditional fireplace features an all-stainless exterior. Inside the

fireplace, a special stainless steel version of our popular Harmony
burner lights up the night with 50,000 Btu. The standard refractory
liner and the required refractory Wildwood Log Set provide thermal
mass to help minimize temperature fluctuations for your guests.
Both the 36-inch fireplace and the 42-inch are rated at 50,000 Btu, and
both have their valve and controls concealed beneath the fireplace floor.
Choose Millivolt or IP, both available in LP or Natural Gas.

Our outdoor burners allow you to convert your existing outdoor fireplace into a
convenient gas system. The result? You spend more of your time entertaining
friends and family in your outdoor living space, and less time trying to maintain a
wood fire.
We offer a traditional burner, with refractory logs, and a contemporary linear
burner.
Available in LP or Natural Gas, these burners are designed for installation in an
outdoor fireplace or firebox only.

The Carol Rose Coastal Collection includes the Wildwood Refractory Log Set
designed specifically for outdoor use with our Harmony Stainless Steel Burner.
Both the 24-inch burner and the 30-inch are rated at 50,000 Btu to generate plenty
of flames to complement the massive concrete log sets.
These special burners feature internal baffles to induce movement in the flames for
an exceptionally natural looking fire. Choose Millivolt or Intermittent Pilot.

Our contemporary burner completes your modern outdoor décor. With
stainless steel top and linear burner, these attractive, modern systems
deliver 36,000 Btu in 24-inch models and 40,000 Btu in 30-inch – plenty
of fire to warm your guests and light up your outdoor event.
This freestanding linear burner provides a modern twist on the outdoor
fireplace – creating ambiance and light.
Available in IP only -in LP or Natural Gas. These burners are designed
for installation in an outdoor fireplace or firebox only.
