I fear that the federal government’s respect for
believers and people of conscience no longer
measures up to the treatment Americans have a
right to expect from their elected representatives.
The new approach [in the Notice of Proposed
Rule-Making regarding the HHS
“contraceptive mandate”] even threatens
to undermine access to quality health
care, by telling providers as well as those
who offer or purchase insurance that they
need to drop their participation in the
health care system if they want to preserve their
religious and moral integrity. A restoration of
full respect for one of our Nation’s founding
values is urgently needed.

Legion of Mary Ministry Starting at SMI
Our parish is currently forming The Legion of Mary Ministry. The primary
purpose of this ministry is to bring people to Jesus Christ through the imitation of
the virtues of Mary. The Legion strives to increase the faith and holiness of its
members through the prayer and various apostolic works. Meetings will be
Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. in the Small Meeting Room. If you are interested in joining

“Thank You” from the Good Shepherd Ladies Auxiliary
God Bless all of you who baked and donated to the Sweets Table at our Lenten Fish Fry. The
amount of donations was overwhelming and we had a very successful event because of you. Many
parish and community groups will benefit from our fundraising activities.
