<strong>Wayne</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> District has five campuses located strategically throughout<br />

Downriver Campus<br />

The Downriver Campus sits on 98 acres of farmland and woods. The grounds include a seven-acre<br />
woodland preserve that contains a winding path used for nature walks. The campus is conveniently<br />
located near Interstate 94 and Interstate 75. The campus offers a full range of liberal arts transfer<br />
courses that fulfill general education requirements for both degree and certificate programs.<br />
Down<strong>to</strong>wn Campus<br />

The Down<strong>to</strong>wn Campus is an 180,000 square foot complex, which once served as <strong>the</strong> Penn Central<br />
Railroad Station in Down<strong>to</strong>wn Detroit. The campus is accessible by three major freeways:<br />
The John C. Lodge, Interstate 94 and Interstate 75.<br />
Eastern Campus<br />

The Eastern Campus was completed in 1982 on a 26.3-acre site on <strong>the</strong> east side of Detroit.<br />
The campus offers a full range of courses that fulfill general education requirements for both<br />
associate degree and certificate programs. The campus also offers specialized vocational and<br />
technical programs.<br />
Northwest Campus<br />

In August of 2008, <strong>the</strong> Northwest Campus was relocated <strong>to</strong> its current beautiful, multi-building, 32-acre<br />
site at 8200 West Outer Drive in Northwest Detroit. This campus replaces <strong>the</strong> original 22-acre site on<br />
Greenfield Road that was acquired in 1974, and was <strong>the</strong> first permanent campus for WCCCD.<br />
Western Campus<br />

Situated on 117-acres, <strong>the</strong> Western Campus is <strong>the</strong> fourth permanent instructional center of <strong>Wayne</strong><br />
<strong>County</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> District. The campus was completed in 1981. Part of <strong>the</strong> site remains in<br />
its natural wooded state with ano<strong>the</strong>r portion presently being farmed.<br />

Accreditation<br />
The Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of <strong>the</strong> North Central Association of <strong>College</strong>s and<br />
Schools accredits <strong>Wayne</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> District at <strong>the</strong> Associate’s degree level.<br />
