Concert Rescheduled
Joan Ernandez Hamilton invites fellow
employees to her church’s Christmas
Concert of traditional and contemporary
music, in which she sings tenor, this
Sunday, December 27, 3:30 p.m. at Salem
Missionary Baptist Church, 305 East 21st
Street in Brooklyn.
The concert is free but donations will be

FDU Open House
Fairleigh Dickinson University will hold an
open house on Thursday, January 7, from 5
to 7 p.m., at Gateway II in Newark, 14th
floor conference room, for PA employees
interested in its MPA program with a concentration
in Global Transportation
Management and its undergraduate programs.
Tuition is half the normal cost.

and delivered them to the New York and New Jersey Marine Corps depots for distribution
to needy families, hospitals, and shelters.
At WTC, An Elevated Subway

WTC that will be used as a
Subway sandwich shop for the
hundreds of ironworkers who will
be needed to build the 1,776-foottall
tower. It will be attached to
the metal support for the tower
crane and will move up as the
building rises. Ironworkers have
built out the fifth floor and are
working on the sixth. The tower is
scheduled to reach the 20th floor
equivalent in early 2010.
Snow No Match for JFK Ops & Maint.
Mike Santaniello puts his Hagie through the
paces at Kennedy International Airport on
Sunday. The Hagie is a specialized piece of
equipment specifically designed for clearing
around runway edge lights and guidance
signs. Many East Coast airports closed during
the storm, but all five PA airports remained
open all weekend, although the airlines canceled
hundreds of flights. Snowfall totals at
JFK, EWR, LGA, SWF, and TEB were 14.5, 10.9,
8.6, 4, and 5 inches, respectively. Director
Susan Baer sent a memo to Aviation staffers
thanking them for their dedication and
professionalism.

arrived at Port Newark last week aboard
the Wallenius Faust from Bremerhaven,
Germany. A Bombardier official by the
name of Claus (no kidding) was on hand
for the unloading. PAPD provided escort.
