SEALING COM<strong>POUND</strong>, SINGLE-COMPONENT, NON-CURING, POLYSULFIDE BASE<br />
E.1. SCOPE<br />
E.1.1 Scope. This appendix covers single-component black, inert, thermoplastic,<br />
mastic, non-curing, sealing compounds. The service temperature of the sealing<br />
compounds are -40°C to 82°C (-40° to 180°F) (see E.6.1). This Appendix is a<br />
mandatory part of the specification. The information contained herein is intended for<br />
compliance.<br />
E.1.2 Classification. Sealing compound shall be furnished as follows:<br />
Type I - For static sealing of metal, glass, Polyacrylic plastics to each other<br />
and in combinations with each other.<br />
E.2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS<br />
E.2.1 General. The documents listed in this section are needed to meet the<br />
requirements specified in sections 3, 4, and 5 of this specification. This section does<br />
not include documents in other sections of this specification or recommended for<br />
additional information or as examples. While every effort has been made to ensure<br />
the completeness of this list, document users are cautioned that they must meet all<br />
requirements documents cited in sections 3, 4, and 5 of this specification, whether or<br />
not they are listed.<br />
E.2.2 Non-Government publications. The following documents form a part of this<br />
document to the extent specified herein. Unless otherwise specified, the issues of the<br />
documents which are DoD adopted are those listed in the issue of the DODISS cited<br />
in the solicitation. Unless otherwise specified, the issues of documents not listed in<br />
the DODISS are the issues of the documents cited in the solicitation (see E.6.2).<br />
