E.6.1 Intended use. The sealing compounds covered by this specification are<br />

intended for use in sealing metal to metal, glass to metal and acrylic to metal and for<br />

general purpose as deemed necessary by the using activity. This material is not to be<br />

used as an integral fuel tank or pressure cabin sealant.<br />

E.6.2 Acquisition requirements. Acquisition documents must specify the<br />

following:<br />

a. Title, number and date of this specification.<br />

b. Issue of DODISS to be cited in the solicitation, and, if required, the<br />

specific issue of individual documents referenced (see E.2.1.1).<br />

c. Requirements for submission of first article sample.<br />

d. Applicable stock number.<br />

e. Packaging requirements, if other than specified in Section E.5.<br />

f. Serialization requirements, if applicable.<br />

g. Certificate of conformance for each lot or shipment of product.<br />

h. For the format and content of the MSDS consult FED-STD-313<br />

Material Safety Data Sheets, preparation and the submission of.<br />
