Good luck to Kathryn Tann as she performs<br />

in the upcoming PODS Pantomime<br />

of “Puss in Boots” <strong>and</strong> also to<br />

Lydia James as she performs in play<br />

titled “Luggage”. Congratulations to Rhodri<br />

Jones for passing his Grade 6 Piano<br />

exam.<br />

9W<br />

There have been some notable musical<br />

achievements in 9W with Balaji Krishna<br />

passing his Grade 3 guitar <strong>and</strong> Ben<br />

Brewer, Zola Hargreaves ,Grace Hewlett<br />

<strong>and</strong> Sam Lewis all passing piano<br />

exams. Emily Thomas passed her Intermediate<br />

Foundation ballet exam with a<br />

merit <strong>and</strong> Jade Detheridge passed her<br />

Grade 5 ballet exam. Congratulations to<br />

Spencer Ward-Henry for being selected<br />

for the Cardiff Blues West Under 14’s<br />

<strong>and</strong> Jamie Hitchen for attending trials<br />

for the Welsh Cricket Squad.<br />

9O<br />

There have been some excellent sporting<br />

<strong>and</strong> musical achievements from pupils<br />

in 9O. Duncan Keeling, James<br />

Squire-Wood <strong>and</strong> Dan Cerasale have<br />

been members of a successful Sully<br />

football team. Well done to Rebecca Te<br />

Water Naude on passing her Grade 3<br />

violin exam <strong>and</strong> good luck to Lissie Britten<br />

in her upcoming Grade 5 drum<br />

exam.<br />

9R<br />

There have been some impressive sporting<br />

displays from many of the form this<br />

term. Morgan Clarke, Kieran Hopkins,<br />

Jacob Frost, Niall Curtin <strong>and</strong> Cea-Jay<br />

Morgan have all been members of successful<br />

football teams. Gabriel Ackerman<br />

recently won a rowing competition<br />

while Harriet Blunden has won a show<br />

jumping <strong>and</strong> dressage competition.<br />

9K<br />

There have been many <strong>and</strong> varied<br />

achievements from pupils in 9K. Will<br />

Creaven is in the GB National Sailing<br />

Squad <strong>and</strong> came 1st in the Welsh Sailing<br />

<strong>School</strong> Championships while Jaq Allen<br />

was part of a team that came 2nd in a kayaking<br />

competition. Congratulations to Joe<br />

Prosser <strong>and</strong> Tommy Higgins for passing<br />

their drum exams <strong>and</strong> Hanir Mousa <strong>and</strong><br />

Patrick Charelson for passing their piano<br />

exams. Emma Bright has returned for her<br />

7th year at the Helen O’Grady Drama<br />

Academy <strong>and</strong> Megan Holl<strong>and</strong> has<br />

achieved her Grade 5 jazz dancing award.<br />

Good luck to Suzie Collins as she prepares<br />

for her Baden Powell Award in Girl<br />

Guiding <strong>and</strong> Isaac Ridgley as he represents<br />

the school in the Welsh National Indoor<br />

Rowing Championships.<br />

9L<br />

Congratulations to Kate Coker for her excellent<br />

performances in Cross Country running.<br />

Kate has represented South Wales<br />

this season <strong>and</strong> came 2nd in a recent competition.<br />

Well done to Leah Wenger for<br />

getting a trial for the County Netball team.<br />

Gabrielle Williams has continued to work<br />

hard in the performing arts <strong>and</strong> has been<br />

awarded a Bronze Medal for completing<br />

three years at Stagecoach.<br />

A final special mention must go to Calum<br />

Hughes for his presentation to raise<br />

money for diabetes research. He did an<br />

excellent <strong>and</strong> informative talk <strong>and</strong> should<br />

be congratulated. Well done Calum!<br />
