Banner
Wentworth transitioned to Banner, a
new database system, to modernize
and synchronize the Institute’s departments.
Banner’s implementation was
extremely successful and has benefitted
Wentworth by allowing real-time data
entry and creating seamless interaction
between departments. The Department
of Finance successfully launched the
program on July 1, 2006, and a year
later financial services, financial aid,
and the registrar’s office implemented
Banner.
Signage
On August 26, 2007, Wentworth
joined the American College Health
Association (ACHA) and became
tobacco-free. Signage was designed
and placed at every entry point to
campus to notify people of the
regulation. New informational,
directional, and venue-specific signs
are also on display around campus,
making navigating campus easier
than ever.
Fitness and Study
Renovations to the Tansey Gym floor
were completed in January 2007,
enabling the men’s and women’s
volleyball and basketball teams to
have the home court advantage once
again. After students work out in the
new Colleges of the Fenway fitness
center - shared between Mass College
of Pharmacy and Health Sciences,
MassArt, and Wentworth - they can
enjoy new seating and study booths
added to the lower floor of Beatty Hall.
