B Review compliance with the Amateur Sports Act and the U.S. Olympic Committee Constitution<br />
and Bylaws; and<br />
C Be available for mentoring and consulting to the Board of Directors and the committees<br />
on the responsibilities and accountabilities of membership on those groups.<br />
506.7 Audit Committee<br />
.1 Membership: The Audit Committee shall consist of five members appointed by the President,<br />
as follows: an Executive Committee member, a Zone Director, an athlete from a slate<br />
submitted by the Athletes’ Committee, and two additional members with designated financial<br />
experience. There shall be no member of the committee who has check signing authority<br />
for the Corporation.<br />
.2 Each member shall serve a four-year term, staggered so that one-fourth of the members are<br />
appointed each year.<br />
.3 Responsibility: The Audit Committee shall be responsible for:<br />
A Reviewing and accepting the annual audited statements, accompanying opinion letter,<br />
and management letter;<br />
B Making a recommendation for acceptance to the Board of Directors; and<br />
C Evaluating the internal controls of the Corporation.<br />
506.8 Credentials/Elections Committee<br />
.1 Membership: The Credentials/Elections Committee shall consist of twelve (12) non-athlete<br />
members appointed by the President and a sufficient number of athlete members as to constitute<br />
at least 20% of the voting membership.<br />
.2 Each non-athlete member shall serve a four-year term.<br />
.3 Responsibility: The Credentials/Elections Committee shall certify delegates at the annual<br />
meeting of the corporation, supervise elections held at the annual meeting, and certify<br />
results of elections held at the annual meeting.<br />
506.9 Steering Committee<br />
.1 Membership: The Steering Committee shall consist of:<br />
A Eight (8) coaches selected as follows;<br />
Preceding Head Women’s Olympic Coach<br />
Preceding Head Men’s Olympic Coach<br />
OIOC Coordinator<br />
Two coaches elected by Olympic International Operations Committee<br />
One coach appointed by the President<br />
Two coaches appointed by the National Team Director<br />
B Once the new Head Olympic Coaches are named, they shall become ex-officio members<br />
of the Steering Committee, if not already on the Committee.<br />
C Two athletes selected by the Athletes Committee, one female/one male, both former<br />
<strong>USA</strong> National Team members; and<br />
D The Technical Vice-President, the Chair of the Senior Development Committee, and the<br />
Chair of the Sports Medicine Committee shall be ex-officio members of the Committee<br />
with voice but no vote. The Committee may name additional ex-officio members.<br />
