• Configuring site authorization.<br />

• Configuring software database utilities, including:<br />

• Configuring storage locations.<br />

• Clearing storage locations.<br />

• Configuring system authentication.<br />

• Configuring manual recording.<br />

• Configuring automatic recording.<br />

• Enable the picture quality manual override buttons.<br />

• Creating, editing and deleting macros.<br />

• Setting picture quality and FPS priority.<br />

• Configuring alarm events, including:<br />

• Defining alarm setup links.<br />

• Setting pre/post alarms.<br />

• Creating and modifying schedules.<br />

• Restoring and backing up system settings from/to any network location.<br />

• Configuring a control panel.<br />

• Recording Verification System (RVS) continually monitors the recording performed by a<br />

scheduled macro or autorecord. It ensures continuous recording by notifying users of any<br />

recording errors.<br />

• Auto/<strong>Manual</strong> FPS – <strong>Manual</strong> FPS distribution of each camera per DSP, so that you know exactly<br />

how many FPS are recorded and displayed per camera.<br />

• Language Translation Utility (LTU).<br />

• Central Failure Notification (CFN) continually sends notification, to specified sites, of errors that<br />

occur in the system.<br />

• Device Groups – enables you to create logical groups of devices, regardless of the site to which<br />

each device is connected.<br />

• Map Sets – enables you to map your working environment in terms of where <strong>Vicon</strong>Net systems<br />

are physically located on your premises.<br />

• I-Onyx 9xx and Third Party Camera – defines the parameters of each I-Onyx 9xx and third party<br />

camera on the system and provides a link to that camera’s browser for configuration.<br />

• I-Onyx 9xx and Third Party Format – the selection of the default 3 rd party video stream type for<br />

that workstation.<br />

• Display Settings – allows you to select a resolution and screen aspect ratio.<br />

• Video Analytics – detects activity using <strong>Vicon</strong>Net integrated video intelligence.<br />

• Events Management – create profile for user-defined events connected to an external system<br />

(such as access control or license plate recognition).<br />

• Settings Summary – provides a summary of all the settings configured in a specific site.<br />

• Reset Nucleus – resets the list of sites appearing in the main Site List and the setup browser.<br />

Clears all history of disconnected sites. Disconnected sites appear in the Site List and the Setup<br />

Site Selection window with the following icon:<br />

Refer to Chapter 3, Configuring the <strong>Vicon</strong>Net System, for detailed configuration procedures.<br />

This option enables you to log out without closing the <strong>Vicon</strong>Net application. You can then log in as a<br />

different user.<br />

This option closes the <strong>Vicon</strong>Net application and shuts down the local computer on which it is running.<br />
