This half-day workshop demonstrates the<br />

skills necessary to perform the highest quality<br />

endodontics. Learn to shape root canals with NiTi<br />

instrumentation and warm vertical condensation<br />

of gutta-percha with the continuous wave of<br />

vertical condensation using the latest in cordless<br />

technology.<br />

*Participant must supply pre-accessed extracted<br />

teeth, soaked in full strength bleach for 24 hours<br />

and each canal should be negotiated to a #10<br />

hand file.<br />

Gary Glassman received his DDS from University of<br />

Toronto in 1984 and graduated from the Endodontology<br />

Program at Temple University in 1987. The endodontic<br />

editor of Oral Health dental journal, and faculty member<br />

of University of Toronto Dr. Glassman is Adjunct Professor<br />

and Director of Endodontic programming at the University<br />

of Technology, Kingston, Jamaica.<br />

to 1) Consolidate the clinical technique of<br />

performing an extra-oral and intra-oral soft<br />

tissue examination; and 2) Practice soft tissue<br />

incisional, excisional biopsy, cytology technique<br />

using Pig or Cow tongue.<br />

Samson Ng is a certified specialist in oral medicine and<br />

pathology. He is appointed as clinical assistant professor<br />

at the UBC, director of the Oral Care Program for the<br />

Medically Complex Patients (OCPMCP) at the VGH<br />

Department of Dentistry. Dr. Ng also operates private<br />

practices in Vancouver and Abbotsford.<br />

Charles Shuler is Dean and Professor UBC Faculty of<br />

Dentistry. His BS is from the University of Wisconsin,<br />

DMD from Harvard School of <strong>Dental</strong> Medicine, PhD<br />

from the University of Chicago and Oral Pathology from<br />

the University of Minnesota and Royal <strong>Dental</strong> College<br />

Copenhagen. His current research interests include<br />

craniofacial development, oral carcinogenesis, oral<br />

medicine and gene therapy.<br />

Horizontal grafting techniques including<br />

flap designs and suturing techniques will be<br />

discussed. Reducing vertical bone loss in the<br />

maxillary posterior with the osteotome sinus<br />

bump will also be addressed and both situations<br />

are practiced on anatomically correct models<br />

during the hands-on exercises.<br />

David Levitt graduated from the University of Southern<br />

California School of Dentistry in 1977. He has an<br />

extensive background in implantology, having attended<br />

formal training at Loma Linda University, the Medical<br />

College of Georgia, and the Mish Institute. He is currently<br />

in private practice in Irvine, California.<br />
