SUBJECT: Summer Program Applications<br />
Enclosed are the Summer Program Applications and a Notice of<br />
Summer School Programs.<br />
The 25-day Junior High Summer School will follow State guidelines from 7:00 A.M.<br />
12:46 P.M. on Mondays-Thursdays. High School Credit Recovery classes will be<br />
offered to students in grades 9-12 from 7:15 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. for 25 days on Mondays<br />
Thursdays. No Spanish courses will be offered.<br />
High School Credit Recovery and Junior High School Summer School registration<br />
will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, and Thursday, May 31,2012, from 8:00 A.M.<br />
to 12:00 P.M. All classes begin on June 4,2012 .. All classes will end on July 18,2012.<br />
A calendar of all summer programs is attached.<br />
Please post the Notice so all staff will be advised of the availability of<br />
positions.<br />

The <strong>Tangipahoa</strong> <strong>Parish</strong> School Board is now accepting applications for teaching positions in Summer<br />
School Programs. Actual hiring and period of employment is dependent upon funds and actual student<br />
attendance. Applicants must specify the exact program or grade level for which they are seeking<br />
employment. Only those applicants who apply for administrative positions will be considered for same.<br />

PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO PERSONS CURRENTLY EMPLOYED IN<br />
THE TANGIPAHOA PARISH SCHOOL SYSTEM WHO DID NOT TEACH IN THE<br />
2011 SUMMER SCHOOL SESSION. THIS POLICY WAS ESTABLISHED BY<br />
THE SCHOOL BOARD TO ASSURE GREATER OPPORTLINITY FOR MORE<br />
TEACHERS TO PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES THAT PRODUCE<br />
SUPPLEMENTAL INCOME.<br />
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO ELEMENTARY CERTIFIED TEACHERS<br />
CURRENTLY TEACHING IN GRADES 'TTH OR 8 TH FOR THE 7 TH AND 8 TH GRADE<br />
PROGRAM.<br />
