James Mobley to Mcdce Two<br />
Features for '74 Release<br />
HOLLYWOOD—James Mobley, president<br />
of newly formed International Syndication<br />
Co., with world headquarters in<br />
Quito, Ecuador, announced that the company<br />
will launch its production schedule<br />
with two theatrical features and several TV<br />
documentaries to be released in 1974.<br />
The first feature wiU be "The Caves of<br />
the Tayos," which Mobley will direct starting<br />
March 15. The 90-minute documentary,<br />
to be made in Ecuador, will explore a series<br />
of caves located at the base of the Andes<br />
which purportedly prove evidence of a longlost<br />
civilization antedating the Inca empire.<br />
The caves also are the longest and deepest<br />
in the world and can be reached only after<br />
a five-week overland expedition through<br />
swamps and jungles. Budget has been set<br />
at $450,000 for "The Caves of the Tayos"<br />
and Mobley plans to shoot two months<br />
within the caves.<br />
Peter Tompkins, author of "Secrets of<br />
the Great Pyramid," recently published by<br />
Harper & Row and an alternate Book-ofthe-Month<br />
Club selection, currently is writing<br />
the screenplay in collaboration with<br />
Mobley.<br />
Thomas Koster, formerly associated with<br />
Time-Life Films and PBL, will be director<br />
of cinematography and Dr. Timothy Hillerbran,<br />
professor of anthropology and archaeology,<br />
will serve as in-house archaeologist.<br />
