information is provided to shareholders and full disclosure<br />
is made while ensuring appropriate treatment of sensitive<br />

Human Resources Policy<br />
<strong>Apollo</strong> <strong>Hospitals</strong> <strong>Dhaka</strong> actively encourages employee<br />
involvement in the Company's business through team<br />
briefings and regular meetings with various departmental<br />
employees. The Company's equal opportunity employment<br />
policy includes commitments to recruit people on the basis<br />
of their ability. Employee competence and commitment are<br />
the key drivers of the competitive advantage of any<br />
organization. The Management continues to put emphasis<br />
on staff development initiatives. Examples include on<br />
Continuous Medical Education (CME) and Continuous<br />
Nursing Education (CNE) as part of the hospital's staff<br />
development program. In-house management training and<br />
symposia are conducted regularly for all the employees to<br />
develop their soft skills. The Management is working<br />
steadily and continuously to maintain <strong>Apollo</strong> <strong>Hospitals</strong><br />
<strong>Dhaka</strong> as a learning organization.<br />
AHD is committed to providing excellent customer<br />
service for the patients and their attendants. The<br />
Management is ensuring that regular Customer Service<br />
Training programs are available throughout the year. We<br />
have taken various actions including recognition and<br />
rewards for employees demonstrating excellent customer<br />
service. AHD has organized staff recreational and<br />
motivational programs to boost employee morale. A<br />
sampling of the activities includes the New Year<br />
Celebration with Corporate Theme, Employee<br />
Appreciation Program, Best Employee Recognition<br />
Program, Movie Nights, Cultural Nights, and other<br />
motivational and recreational opportunities. To meet our<br />
future needs, we are focusing on putting patients first.<br />
Standards of<br />
Business Conduct<br />
<strong>Apollo</strong> <strong>Hospitals</strong> <strong>Dhaka</strong> is committed to achieving high<br />
standards of integrity in public life and in all of its business<br />
practices. This commitment is set out in the Standards of<br />
Business Conduct adopted by the Company in order to<br />
conduct the Company's business with honesty, integrity and<br />
transparency. It is critical to the continuing development of<br />
a business that is responsible, successful and sustainable in<br />
the long term. The Standards provide support and guidance<br />
to ensure that employee conduct meets the highest<br />
expectations, complies with the regulations applicable to<br />
the Company's business and that they act with integrity.<br />
The Standards are an integral part of the principles of<br />
corporate governance in STS Holdings and are designed to:<br />
• Ensure that decisions and judgments made by the<br />
employees are lawful and comply with the ethical<br />
standards expected of a premier hospital in<br />
Bangladesh<br />
• Set a tone and culture for the organization which will<br />
ensure it is regarded as a good corporate citizen<br />
• Help employees who are faced with making appropriate<br />
judgments in the course of doing their work<br />
• Assist managers in considering disciplinary matters<br />
where appropriate, giving reassurance to shareholders,<br />
customers and suppliers, as well as to Government<br />
and to other third parties with whom STS Holdings<br />
comes into business contact<br />
• Seek to protect STS Holdings Limited from being<br />
subject to loss as a consequence of extortion, fraud,<br />
theft, bribery, corruption, insider dealing and market<br />
abuse, violations of anticompetitive and antitrust laws,<br />
money laundering, terrorism, or other forms of<br />
dishonesty<br />
The Standards of Business Conduct are reviewed from<br />
time to time and updated to reflect what we see as<br />
developments and issues currently affecting corporate<br />
conduct, values, and expected standards.<br />
Management Team<br />
The Board is the highest decision and policy making<br />
authority of the company to execute the directions. The<br />
Management Team is the executive leadership of STSHL<br />
and is charged with managing the affairs of the Company.<br />
The Management Team consists of the CEO and other key<br />
leaders within the company. The CEO is the leader of the<br />
Team. The Management Team endeavors to achieve the<br />
strategic goals and mission of the hospital as set by the<br />
Board of Directors. The Management Team meets at least<br />
on a weekly basis to monitor the operational and business<br />
performance of the Hospital.<br />
