Read this appendix for information on the NEON intrinsics supported<br />

in this release of RVCT.<br />

This book assumes that the <strong>ARM</strong> software is installed in the default location. For<br />

example, on Windows this might be volume:\Program Files\<strong>ARM</strong>. This is assumed to be<br />

the location of install_directory when referring to path names, for example<br />

install_directory\Documentation\.... You might have to change this if you have<br />

installed your <strong>ARM</strong> software in a different location.<br />

Typographical conventions<br />

The following typographical conventions are used in this book:<br />

monospace<br />

Denotes text that can be entered at the keyboard, such as commands, file<br />

and program names, and source code.<br />

Denotes a permitted abbreviation for a command or option. The<br />

underlined text can be entered instead of the full command or option<br />

name.<br />

Denotes arguments to commands and functions where the argument is to<br />

be replaced by a specific value.<br />

monospace bold<br />

Denotes language keywords when used outside example code.<br />
