TM-U220 Technical Reference Guide Chapter 6 Notices for Replacement of the TM-U210/TM-U300 TM-U220 is designed to smoothly replace the TM-U210/TM-U300. This section gives answers to your questions. 6.1 For Replacement of the TM-U210 When you replace TM-U210 with the TM-U220, you have to set the memory switch [MemSW8-5: OFF (default)] and [MemSW 8-8: OFF (default)] to get the same statas provided by the TM-U210. See “6.1.6 Provided statuses (6-5 page)” for details. 6.1.1 About printing format compatibility The TM-U220 can provide almost the same printing result as the TM-U210. This section describes the reasons, which are printing area compatibility, character compatibility, and top margin compatibility (cutting position.) 6.1.1.1 Printing area The TM-U220 has almost the same printing area as TM-U210 as shown in the following table and figures.Therefore, the TM-U220 can print same contents as the TM-U210 without adjusting any original control sources.
