150 years ago, the hotelier Johannes Badrutt made a daring bet with some of his English
summer guests: that in the middle of winter they would enjoy mild Engadin sunshine.
Badrutt won, and St. Moritz developed into one of the most dazzling winter sports resorts
in the world. Today Corviglia/Piz Nair is a playground for the latest in snow sports, the venue
