1 This design was influenced by the book 'One more kiss.' I
particularly liked the way the designer had used the grid to create a
visually attractive design. I tried to combine imagery and type to
create a simple but effective layout, each time considering the
subject 'all in the mind.'
2 The aim for this design was to create a lively, exciting and vibrant
representation of a 'fizzy drink.' I tried to show this using appropriate
colours, bubbles, stripes and stars. I also tried to repeat the use of
the crescent and star, as it was the main feature of my logo.
3 The 3D piece was made as part of a branding for my
architectural company 'HEX.' This is to be used as a promotional
piece for the company and sent out to clients to show the type of
work they produce and also the company profile.
Reflections I have really enjoyed studying Graphic Communication,
this is because I have been able to show a range of techniques and
produce a wide variety of work. I have also expanded my use of
both software skills and gained knowledge on the key design
features. I really enjoy the whole experience of designing, from the
basic research right through to the final design.
Aspirations Having, finished University I am keen and enthusiastic
to commence my working life as a designer particularly in branding,
advertising or editorial. I'm really passionate about designing both
small pieces of graphics such as logos to large pieces of work such
as a magazine or a book. I particularly enjoy combining type and
imagery within a grid.
