Jack Clark gave this update following Idyllwild native Brendan Steele
on the Nationwide pro golf tour.
Steele hasn’t been idle while waiting for the Nationwide Tour to return
to the United States. He’s entered seven tournaments in California’s professional
Golden State Golf Tour so far this year, collecting two first-place
finishes, three seconds (one of them following a tied-for-first playoff),
and one-each ties for fifth and sixth place.
His wins came in January on the 6,734-yard layout at the El Camino
Country Club in Oceanside, where he shot a four-under-par 68, and this
month on the 6,835-
yard track at the Old
Ranch Country Club
in Seal Beach, where
he posted the same
score.
