• Strength the Rental Housing Market<br />
- Provide incentives for low and middle- market rental<br />
housing developers<br />
- Create a regulatory regime to protect the rights and<br />
interests of both tenants and developers/ owners<br />
• Develop underserved settlements<br />
- Introduce a programme to provide housing facilities to<br />
families living in underserved settlements through<br />
liberalization and development of prime lands<br />
- By 2015 - 40,000 apartment units will be constructed for shanty<br />
dwellers and 20,000 luxury and semi- luxury apartments<br />
will be constructed in formerly underserved areas<br />
