MICHAEL IRWIN
Michael Irwin has been director of safety
and quality assurance at DEKRA America
for the past two years. He was previously a
policeman in the US state of Michigan for
nine years, where he carried out thousands
of highway vehicle and load inspections.
One of Michael’s responsibilities at DEKRA’ s
US headquarters in Atlanta is the US-wide
deployment of DEKRA inspectors. Michael
lives in Valpariso, Indiana, and also has his
office there.
PETER RÜCKER
Engineer Peter Rücker has been working at
DEKRA Automobil GmbH since 2000 and,
as line manager at the DEKRA Technology
Centre, is responsible for crash tests in
Neumünster. The 45-year-old trained as a
machinist before studying mechanical engineering
at RWTH Aachen University is
specialised in automotive engineering. Peter
keeps in shape for his job by working out at
the gym and running. He is also a passionate
motorcyclist.
REINHARD BUCHSDRÜCKER
Reinhard Buchsdrücker joined DEKRA
Akademie in Norderstedt in 2002 as an
instructor specialising in safe driving, economical
driving styles and securing loads. In
2005, the trained coachbuilder was promoted
to project manager for driving simulation,
focusing on conceptual design, testing
e-learning concepts and creating digital trainer
guides. In his spare time, the 50-year-old goes
camping and cycling by the Baltic Sea.
