LOCTITE ® HYSOL PUR HOT MELT DISPENSER

The Loctite® Hysol PUR Hot Melt dispenser is designed to effectively
pump and apply reactive polyurethane hot melt adhesives directly from
5 gallon pails. This dispenser utilizes an innovative inflatable silicone
seal design to insure moisture is kept separated from the reactive PUR
Hot Melt. Product is dispensed using a rugged gear pump design, and
with 3 separate heating zones (platen, hose, and applicator) to insure
long term reliable dispensing.
Features:
• Fully enclosed pail unloading station with a rugged silicone seal
designed to keep moisture out, and an elevator platform to ensure
continuous seal/hot melt contact as the pail is emptied
• 3 zone heating with convenient digital control panel with
component on/off LED displays and digital temperature read-outs
• Inflatable silicone pail seal design ensures reactive moisture
is kept out of a 5 gallon pail during operation
• 3 zone heating controls, pail platen, hose, and applicator
with no check valves to repair or replace
• Can be used on any standard hot melt adhesive
in a 5 gallon pail
Utilities
Theory of Operation
A 5 gallon pail of PUR Hot Melt is positioned onto the elevator
platform and raised to engage an inflatable silicone seal into
the pail. The platen is heated to the desired temperature and
melts the product which then flows towards the center of the
platen. As the elevator maintains pressure on the pail, the
liquefied product is channeled towards the gear pump around
the bottom center of the platen. Utilizing the control panel,
a temperature range is selected that is within the product’s use
temperature. Once the application temperature is reached, the
equipment is ready to dispense product. When the applicator
trigger is actuated, the gear pump turns on and forces the
product down the heated hose and towards the dispense
applicator. Gear pump speed can also be controlled
to change the application rate.
