– up and implementation of such actions, -the environmental audits to be realized annually.<br />
Article-152-Besides the obligations defined elsewhere the holders of mining claims shall be<br />
bound to:<br />
1. 1. Carry out the prospection, exploration and exploitation works provided in the<br />
conventions and/or specifications, in accordance with the conditions set forth in this law and<br />
its related enforcement regulations.<br />
2. 2. Maintain exploitation, emergency and safety construction works and facilities, in<br />
accordance with the provisions and standards provided by the laws and regulations in force.<br />
3. To comply with the technical and regulatory requirements enacted with respect to :<br />
-Explosives transportation, storage and utilization, -Safety and hygiene -Environmental<br />
protection -Protection of animals and plants -Protection of historic and archeological sites<br />
and monuments<br />
scheduled or in process of scheduling, -Water flow and drinking water supply,<br />
irrigation or industrial requirements, -Protection perimeters.<br />
3. 4. Pay in accordance with the conditions set forth in this law and its corresponding<br />
enforcement regulations, all duties, fees, taxes and royalties for purposes of their activities<br />
or facilities,<br />
4. 5. Provide the National Agency for the National <strong>Mining</strong> Estate and the National<br />
Agency for Geology and <strong>Mining</strong> Control with an annual report the contents of which shall be<br />
set by a decree of the Minister in charge of mines.<br />
5. 6. Make good the damages caused to persons or properties as a result of the<br />
carrying out of their mining activities,<br />
6. 7. Train engineer students in mining fields and others according to schemes fixed<br />
with Universities, Schools and Institutes for staff training,<br />
7. 8. Undertake the rehabilitation of places.<br />
Article-153-The holder of mining claim shall be bound, under penalty of suspension possibly<br />
followed by the withdrawal of his license according to the procedures set forth<br />
in article 91 hereabove to:<br />
-Start the works at the latest one year after the granting of the license and<br />
pursue them steadily,<br />
-Implement in accordance with the good engineering practice the scheme agreed<br />
upon of prospection, exploration and exploitation works -Implement the annual<br />
investment corresponding to the works herein above mentioned and according to<br />
the schedule fixed.
