Article-9- Transfers of property, mortgages, pledges granted by the above-ground<br />

landowners or entitled parties, on tangible real properties or fixtures and on realty<br />

rights, are not an obstacle to the carrying out of the research or exploitation<br />

activities within the meaning assigned by this law.<br />

CHAPTER -II DEFINITIONS<br />

SECTION-1-ON THE GEOLOGICAL INFRASTRUCTURE<br />

Article-10– Are considered as geological infrastructure works, works aiming at the<br />

acquisition of the ground and underground basic knowledge, especially through<br />

geological mapping and associating geology, geodesy, geophysics,<br />

geochemistry, remote sensing and eventually boring.<br />

Article–11– The mineral inventory consists in making a descriptive and estimate recording<br />

of the constituting elements of the mineral estate, as defined in article 6<br />

hereabove, in order to know the country mineral resources.<br />

Article-12- The legal deposit, as understood in the provisions of this law, is the preservation<br />

of the national geological knowledge patrimony. It is a documentary heritage<br />

compiling the results of studies and works achieved within the framework of<br />

activities related to the earth science, the research and mining exploitation over<br />

the whole national territory.<br />

SECTION-2-ON MINING RESEARCH<br />

Article-13-<strong>Mining</strong> research is subdivided in two steps : -<br />

the mining prospection, -the mining<br />

exploration.<br />

Article-14-Are considered as mining prospection, the topographical, geological and<br />

geophysical survey, the site inspection and other preliminary research of<br />

surface minerals in order to define the ground mineralogic attributes and<br />

geological characteristics.<br />

Article-15-Are considered as mining exploration, the performance of geological and<br />

geophysical studies concerning the structures and the underground geology,<br />

the appraisal work through digging, boring and drilling, the analysis of mineral<br />

physical and chemical proprieties and the economic feasibility study of a field<br />

development and bringing in.
